Warning
This compressor has a holding charge of dry gas. Compressor must be evacuated before use.
Do not twist, tighten or remove nuts on terminal plate lugs. Any disturbance of terminal lugs will result in electrical failure.
After one hour of operation stop and observe oil level to three-quarters of the sight glass change oil after 20 hours of use.

Across The Line
Before connecting compressor, electrically energize contactors and check for even and proper voltage at compressor leads.
Check terminal plate and stator windings by using a meggermeter. Measure to compressor casting from each terminal. 20,000,000 ohms or higher must be accomplished.
On part wind start machines make certain time delay operation is properly set.
National compressor will rebuild any compressor to original manufacturer's specifications, in 24 hours, that cannot be replaced immediately.
Protect your warranty
- Install a new suction and liquid line filter drier.
- Check electrical contactors, capacitors, relays, time delay, heaters, crank case heaters.
- Check power supply voltage and even phase.
- Purge and evacuate system.
- Check all safety switches solenoid valve operation.
- Start compressor with oil pressure gauge to check proper pressures.
- Check for refrigerant leaks.
- Use proper refrigerant.
- Do not charge refrigerant through suction fitting from compressor.
- Check for proper size and setting on expansion valve.
- Check and retorque compressor bolts after 2 hours running time.
- Check coupling alignment with dial indicator when re-installing.
To the installation mechanic
- If your system is equipment with capillary tubes -
- It will be necessary after completing the installation
- To check for crimps or the possibility of the lines touching where friction may ultimately damage the tube.
